CCG College

Canadian Coast Guard College

The CCG College is located in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Two Officers Training Programs are offered by the College : Navigation and Marine Engineering.

Both are four-year programs.

At the end of the programs, students graduate with a diploma of Bachelor of Technology in Nautical Science.

CCG College study programs offer many benefits :

  • $359 to $556 monthly allowance
  • Two at-sea training sessions ($1078$ to $1532 additional allowance)
  • Access to a sports centre, including pool, gym and physical conditioning
  • Guaranteed employment with the Canadian Coast Guard upon graduation with $59,000 basic salary
  • The four-year study program is counted as time served with the Federal Government (pension)

CCG College Admission Requirements:

  • Secondary 5 Advanced Mathematics
  • Secondary 5 Physics
  • One year Secondary Education Chemistry (Marine Engineering only)
  • One year of CEGEP for Quebec students, preferably in Natural Science
