Environment Canada

The Canadian Coast Guard and Environment Canada work together on several environmental protection programs in view of ensuring the environment protection, by providing and exchanging information on situations that may present risks to the marine environment.

Environment Canada also plays an active role in the Canadian Coast Guard Icebreaking Service, by providing the Canadian Coast Guard Ice Centres with human resources specialized in aerial observation of ice conditions and the production of ice charts used and published by the Coast Guard Ice Centres.
